How strong is the wood
The ring in the picture above is nine years old and has taken a bit of a beating. The wood has worn a little because it changes over time tending to darken slightly taking on a driftwood feel. These changes tend to settle after a couple of years. When the wood is worn continuously the natural oils in your skin will prevent it from drying and cracking, however if there are periods of time when it is not worn the wood would benefit from a little oil. I use linseed oil but any oil will be fine.
Can the wood be worn in water
Because the wood isn’t attached to the metal the ring can be worn in water. If the piece is often worn in water then it would be a good idea to oil the wood occasionally. I use linseed oil but any oil will be fine.
Finding my ringsize
The best way to calculate your ring size is to go to a High Street Jewellers and get your finger measured, then try on a ring of a similar width and profile as the one you wish to order. Alternatively you can fill out the form for the
and I willl send you a plastic ring sizer or you can print out the picture here and measure yourself.
