How strong is the wood
The ring in the picture above is nine years old and has taken a bit of a beating. The wood has worn a little because it changes over time tending to darken slightly taking on a driftwood feel. These changes tend to settle after a couple of years. When the wood is worn continuously the natural oils in your skin will prevent it from drying and cracking, however if there are periods of time when it is not worn the wood would benefit from a little oil. I use linseed oil but any oil will be fine.
Can the wood be worn in water
Because the wood isn’t attached to the metal the ring can be worn in water. If the piece is often worn in water then it would be a good idea to oil the wood occasionally. I use linseed oil but any oil will be fine.

Finding my ringsize
The best way to calculate your ring size is to go to a High Street Jewellers and get your finger measured, then try on a ring of a similar width and profile as the one you wish to order. Alternatively you can fill out the form for the
and I willl send you a plastic ring sizer or you can print out the picture here and measure yourself.

Can a ring be resized
Yes all of our rings can be resized. If you need your ring resizing please return it with the details of the new measurements and return address. There will be a charge of £18 to cover the cost of postage and the work involved. Details on how to pay are in the How can I pay section of the FAQ.
If the ring is a surprise for someone and you don’t know their size you are welcome to get in touch with us and we can send you one of our sample rings in a random size and then swap this for the right size ring when you know it thus avoiding the resize charge.

What metals do you use
All the silver on the website is sterling silver. We also use:

Platinum
Palladium
22ct yellow gold
18ct white, yellow and rose gold
14ct white, yellow and rose gold
9ct white, yellow and rose gold
Sterling silver and fine silver

The picture of the ring at the top of this page is a good example of how soft silver is. You can see that it is quite worn.

How long do the pieces last
Depending on the metals you use the pieces last a very long time. If you have any problems with the wood we will repair it free of charge. If this is after a couple of years wear we may charge a small amount to replace the wood.

Can the rings be worn as wedding rings
Yes. We have a lot of customers who wear our rings as wedding rings. The wood does change over the years but this gives each ring a certain amount of individuality. Each ring will change differently depending on your lifestyle.
