We can resize most of our rings at a charge of £40. Titanium can be resized but only within a couple of sizes. If needed we can make a replacement ring at a reduced price.
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase you may return it to us in its original unworn condition (trying for size accepted) within 30 days immediately after signed receipt date. When we have received the item(s) we will offer you a full refund. If you are worried about the style we can send you a sample ring to try first.
Postage costs will only be refunded if there is a fault with the item.
For hygienic and health and safety reasons, all earring studs will not be accepted for return.
Refunds may not be authorised for bespoke items and rings received back more than 30 days after dispatch. When we do accept these items back, they will usually be subject to administration/restocking charges. We will also not refund if it is evident that more than one ring was purchased with the express intention of choosing between them and returning one for a refund. Because all our rings are handmade to the size, you order you cannot swap a sized ring for a different size without paying the resize charge.
In most cases, if you are unsure of your purchase, we can send you a sample ring and sizers to check that you’re happy with the dimensions and size before we go ahead and make the item to ensure the ring will be suitable and therefore not returned. This is especially likely if the item is of high value, e.g. with precious metals and/or gemstones. We reserve the right to exclude items from the 30-day refund policy, and will always contact you prior to their manufacture if this is the case.
Refunds will be made by the original method of payment.
Justin Duance Jewellery
Although unlikely, should an item fail to correspond with specification or show a defect in material or workmanship we will gladly exchange or refund on return of the faulty product(s) within twelve months from delivery. Justin Duance will use its own discretion in replacing these damaged goods and we will not credit or replace items that have been ill treated or suffered damage through normal wear and tear or where an attempt to repair has been made by any third party.
Justin Duance offers free delivery worldwide for standard orders. All pieces are sent via special delivery with the Royal Mail, and will need to be signed for. All of our jewellery is hand made to order and we aim to make and deliver your item within 3-6 weeks from the order date. We have two ways of paying: by card over the phone and with PayPal email requests, or by bank transfer. If you want to pay for something by bank transfer please fill out the contact form on the contacts page and ask for the relevant details.

If you want to order a design in a metal other than silver we can send you a silver sample ring and ring sizers to make sure that you are happy with the design and size. There is more information on our Commissions Page.
Yes. We have a lot of customers who wear our rings as wedding rings. The wood in the wood inlay rings does change over the years but this gives each ring a certain amount of individuality. Each ring will change differently depending on your lifestyle, though we recommend choosing a metal harder than silver.

Yes, most of our rings can be resized. If you need your ring resized then please return it to us (special delivery is safest) with a note of your contact details, the details of the new size required and your return address. There will be a charge of £40 to cover the cost of postage and the work involved. Details on how to pay are in the ‘How can I pay’ section of the FAQ. If the ring is a surprise for someone and you don’t know their size you are welcome to get in touch with us and we can send you one of our sample rings in a random size and then swap this for the right size ring when you know it thus avoiding the resize charge. The best way to calculate your ring size is to visit your local high street jewellers and get your finger measured. It’s best to on a ring of a similar width and profile as the one you wish to order. See our Sizing and Care page for more detailed information.
Yes. Because the wood isn’t attached to the metal, the ring can be worn in water. If the piece is often worn in water then it would be a good idea to oil the wood occasionally. We use teak oil but olive oil will be fine. See our Sizing and Care page for more information.
All of the different woods we use are hardwoods and are strong enough to withstand everyday life, especially if inlaid in a metal stronger than silver. The ring in the picture to the left is a silver and wood ring which is over ten years old – it’s taken a bit of a beating. This ring is a good example of how soft the silver is. As you can see, the silver has become rounded and worn down, and can no longer protect the wood properly. The wood has worn a little because it changes over time tending to darken slightly and take on a driftwood feel. These changes tend to settle after the first couple of years of wear. When the wood is worn continuously the natural oils in your skin will prevent it from drying and cracking, however if there are periods of time when it is not worn then the wood would benefit from a little oil. We use teak oil but olive oil will be fine.
